Col du Tourmalet – Luz St Sauveur
Beschrijving
The Col du Tourmalet is a mountain pass in the Pyrenees, in southwestern France, Hautes-Pyrénées department.
The 2,115-meter-high passage is best known thanks to the Tour de France, where it was first included in 1910. No other mountain has since been climbed as many times as the Tourmalet. Near the top of the climb is a monument in memory of former Tour Director Jacques Goddet.
In 2023, the Tour de France Femmes will arrive at the Tourmalet for the first time. This resulted in a stage win for Dutch Demi Vollering. Wikipedia
