Beschrijving

Mont Ventoux is a mountain and regional natural park in the Vaucluse department in southern France, located some 20 kilometres northeast of Carpentras on the border between the municipalities of Beaumont-du-Ventoux and Bédoin.

The mountain is best known for cycling stages in the Tour de France, among others. The climb from Bédoin is very tough due to the length of the climb (21.4 km), the average gradient (7.5%) and the summer temperatures in southern France. A total of three climbs by road bike are possible (a southern climb from Bédoin, north from Malaucène and from the east from Sault). Wikipedia
